WOLF CINEMA SHOWS ITS FIRST 8K PROJECTOR

California-based Wolf Cinema will demonstrate its TXF-3500 UHD/8K home cinema projector at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Amsterdam.

Projecting an 8192x4320 resolution image and over 35 million pixels, the TXF-3500 projector will be shown in conjunction with Wolf's latest custom video processor, the ProScaler MK6.

Wolf Cinema’s Director of Sales, Jim McGall, told StereoNET:

We premiered this astonishing new ensemble last month, and folks marveled at the imaging fidelity, detail, color accuracy and what was described simply as true filmic imaging,

The recent leap from HD to 4K was an important step forward in our world, but this reference 8K ensemble presents one of the most realistic images ever cast from all readily available film, video and television sources.

The supplied press release contains no specifications or even which chipset the TXF-3500 uses. However, we understand from sources that the projector is based on the “JVC equipment platform”.

Pricing has also not yet been announced.
