SONY HAS ANNOUNCED THREE NEW NATIVE 4K PROJECTORS

Sony has announced the imminent arrival of three new native 4K resolution home theatre projectors for Australia.
The range includes the entry-level VW270ES ($7,999 RRP), the mid-tier VW570ES ($11,999 RRP) and the premium VW870ES ($35,999 RRP), all of which it says deliver benchmark performance at their respective price point.
According to Bruce Thierbach, General Manager Sales & Marketing for Audio Active which distributes Sony projectors in Australia:
All three projectors come with evolved 4K Motionflow technology, which displays smoother and clearer images by using extra frames to reduce blur, making these projectors perfect for fast moving scenes such as when watching sport.
Delivering stunning, detail package images and incredibly lifelike colour, Sony's new range produces true native 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) thanks to its SXRD panels. In other words, there's no pixel-shifting or clever mirror tricks here.
The three modes are also IMAX Enhanced, which is a new licensing and certification home entertainment program. To qualify and carry the IMAX Enhanced logo, the highest-end TVs, projectors, sound bars, and AV receivers must meet stringent performance standards established by IMAX, DTS and Hollywood’s leading colourists to create a consistent and higher bar for image and sound performance on premium devices.
The new models will be available in November 2018 from authorised Sony projector retailers.
If you've already signed up for Foxtel's upcoming 4K channel, the time is right to jump on the native 4K projector train for the very latest in high-definition Summer sports season.
