ROTEL’S NEW A11 INTEGRATED AMP AND CD11 CD PLAYER HAVE ARRIVED

Rotel’s newest models that have just landed in Australia boast the winning trifecta of affordability, high performance and superior build quality.

The two models hitting stores as you read this are the A11 Integrated Amplifier and the CD11 CD Player.

Both models feature the same styling cues and clearly beg to be paired to provide a visual match and a synergistic sound.

Interdyn has been importing Rotel into Australia for more than four decades and Co-Director, Sam Encel, is excited about the new components:

While other high profile Japanese brands either vacate the audio market or are shadows of their former selves, Rotel keeps the Hi-Fi faith building affordable, great sounding models that are consistently reliable. We evaluated preproduction samples of the A11 integrated and the CD11 CD player and can share that both deliver more than the price points suggest.

The A11 integrated amp builds on the features of the best selling 14 series models which is no mean feat. It’s rated at 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and is capable of generating plenty of current to drive a wide range of affordable loudspeakers.

Rotel A11 Integrated Amplifier

A thoroughly modern integrated amplifier, the A11 offers buyers four RCA inputs, Moving Magnet phono stage, dual selectable speaker outputs, dedicated RCA pre-output, front panel display screen, IR remote control, dual 12-volt trigger outputs, bi-directional RS232 connection, and a Bluetooth receiver that supports aptX and ACC streaming.

Internally, the power supply uses an in-house custom made, oversized toroidal transformer made from steel and copper materials.

The A11 is available in black or silver finish and sells for $999 RRP.

Rotel has been releasing CD players since 1989, but some would wonder why this brand would continue to support a disc format in the age of digital wireless streaming.

Rotel CD11 CD Player

The answer is found in the huge number of CD libraries still in use around the world. To cater to these often-extensive collections, Rotel built the CD 11 and gave this model a hefty power supply and a Balanced Design topology of digital and analogue circuits.

Rotel also ensures the CD11 carries a pedigree DAC comprising a Texas Instruments 24bit/192kHz Chipset.

The CD11 supports both RCA and coaxial digital outputs while its front panel mounted screen will display disc Metadata including song titles when they’re available.

The CD11 is affordable at $599 RRP in either black or silver finish.
