Naim Audio Mu-so QB Wins EISA Award

Naim's miniaturised Mu-so, the QB, released early this year has just been awarded the prestigious Compact Audio System of the Year (2106-2017) award from the European Imaging and Sound Association.

Naim have been producing the finest quality HiFi component for over 40 years. Building upon the success of their Mu-so series, originally released in 2014, the Mu-so QB is a compact wireless music box, or 'cube', from Naim. It's more compact than its big brother, but equally impressive. Mu-so QB is the result of continued research and development and engineering breakthroughs by Naim's engineers.

Chris Murphy, Naim Audio's Australian Importer, told StereoNET:

Mu-so Qb uses the same principles that helped form the original Mu-so: no compromise on materials, sound quality or features. Mu-so Qb shares the same design DNA as Mu-so, all intuitively crafted into a truly compact cabinet, ideal for any living space. It is remarkably compact, but with 300 watts the sound is never restricted by size.

We're very pleased at the response to the Qb, and the EISA award is great recognition of a truly remarkable product from Naim Audio.

The Best Product - Compact Audio System award is reserved for the single best products within their categories chosen by a panel of 15 expert judges - the editors of specialist audio magazines across Europe.

Mu-so Qb reportedly beat hundreds of competitors to take the home the only award in the Compact Hi-Fi System category. Its combination of five speaker drivers and two pistonic bass radiators controlled by its advanced digital brain, paired with advanced connectivity including high-res streaming, AirPlay, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth (aptX), impressed the judges. Ultimately though, it was the sound that captured the judges’ imaginations and Qb’s ability to bring you closer to the music.

Naim Mu-so QB is available now from selected dealers for $1299 RRP.

Naim Audio is distributed in Australia by N.A. Distributors.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
