Monitor Audio Announces Sixth Generation Bronze Speakers
Monitor Audio has announced its 6th generation Bronze Series of speakers that will debut at the upcoming Bristol Hi-Fi Show.
The latest Bronze Series loudspeakers feature a complete upgrade in both performance and build quality, according to Monitor Audio.
What strikes the eye first is that the Bronze Series sports a new, modern cabinet design complete with a contrasted baffle and a range of contemporary finishes.
It's not purely aesthetic tweaks, mind. The new drivers with Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology have been optimised and partner tweeters with a Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide so that they integrate seamlessly into the architecture of the baffle, we are told.
The sixth-gen Bronze Series includes bookshelf models (Bronze 50, Bronze 100), floorstanders (Bronze 200, Bronze 500), a centre speaker (Bronze C150), rear speakers (Bronze FX), Atmos-enabled speaker (Bronze AMS) and a subwoofer (Bronze W10). The range is also available in a choice of four finishes including White, Black, Walnut, and Urban Grey.
Monitor Audio's Technical Director, Michael Hedges, told StereoNET:
I am truly proud of what we have managed to achieve with the 6th generation of our Bronze Series. The performance and build quality are beyond what one would normally expect at this price point, and I am certain that our customers will love them.
According to the company, since launching in 2000 the Bronze Series has set the standard as a class leader and has sold thousands of units to owners around the world. Monitor Audio hopes to build upon the rich heritage with its next-generation release.
Monitor Audio will be previewing the latest Bronze Series speakers at this year's Bristol Hi-fi Show in Empire 1 Suite, on the Ground Floor.
Pricing and availability for Australia and New Zealand has not yet been confirmed.
