HIGH END SIMPLICITY, PLAY IT AGAIN SAM

Audionet, the German HiFi brand that in recent times has risen to the top, redefining high-end audio, has announced its release of the SAM 20 SE Limited Edition integrated amplifier.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the SAM, the SAM 20 SE features many upgrades as the product has evolved over two decades.

These upgrades include new MOSFET power transistors with extremely low series resistance for a higher and more
detailed fidelity in transient response, and a new potent and acutely fast power supply.

All of the SAM 20 SE's internal wiring has been further optimised with all signal cables made of silver and gold, which Audionet says “provides the highest resolution and finest details”.'

Rounding out the internal upgrades, an inbuilt phono preamplifier includes new integrated Opamps with extraordinarily low-noise and fast FET inputs, along with optimised mica capacitors throughout.

Outside, a new engraved front panel completes the look of the SAM 20 SE, while it also now features a redesigned back panel. The SAM 20 SE also comes with a dedicated metal remote control.

Inputs include five pairs of RCA/Unbalanced, and one pair XLR/Balanced.

There's also a 6.3 mm jack for headphone listening.

The Audionet SAM 20 SE has a rated output of 110 Watt (8Ω) and 200 Watt (4Ω).

If you've been looking for the ultimate in high-end audio but simplicity is a priority, put the Audionet SAM 20 Special Edition on your audition wish list.

The Audionet SAM 20 SE Limited Edition is available now for $11,500 RRP.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
