Electrocompaniet Joins the Roon Ready Family
Electrocompaniet has announced that no fewer than eight of its products have just received Roon Ready certification.
Great news for owners and prospective owners of the Norwegian brand's streaming products as a significant number of them are now Roon Ready, which means easy access to Roon's intuitive user interface and engaging digital audio system.
Being Roon Ready means that all Electrocompaniet products with the EC Software Engine will automatically discover and connect to Roon without any configuration necessary. Getting Roon in their update are Electrocompaniet's ECI6DX and ECI6DX-MKII streaming integrated amplifiers, ECM-1 and ECM1-MKII high-end streaming DACs, Tana SL-1 and Tana SL-2 all-in-one streaming speakers, and the Rena S-1 wireless streamer and Rena SA-1 wireless streaming amplifier.
Roon not only enables you to organise and search your own networked music library but also the streaming services that you subscribe to, such as TIDAL and Qobuz. Furthermore, its clear magazine-style layout includes artist biographies and photos, song and album credits, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and more. Finally, Roon is also a multi-room, multi-user networked audio platform offering bit-perfect playback, DSD and PCM upsampling, multichannel support, and Signal Path display.
What we think?
We are big fans of the Roon system and are delighted to see Electrocompaniet joining the ever-increasing Roon Ready family. Suppose you have a decent-sized digital music library on NAS or elsewhere on your home network and subscribe to the TIDAL and/ or Qobuz hi-res audio streaming services. In that case, we reckon Roon is a no-brainer as it brings all of that effortlessly together. So, from a single song search, you get results from your library and the streamers. You also get easy control of all your other Roon-compatible zones throughout your home. Version 1.8 has made Roon even better, too!
