Copland Releases Flagship CSA150 Integrated Amplifier
Following the return of Denmark's Copland and its hi-fi products to Australia thanks to importer Audio Magic's appointment last year, Copland has announced its new flagship amp in the CSA series.
The top model in the new line of Copland CSA series amplifiers employs Copland's double triode gain stage with MOS-FET buffering - ensuring a tight interface between the tube and the solid-state parts of the amplifier, according to the company.
The CSA150 boasts output power of 2 x 150 W into 8 ohms and 230 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The company also says its flagship is immune to mains fluctuations, load demands and noise interference. This is thanks to “wide bandwidth power supply regulation, not only for the low-level stages of the amplifier but also by active regulation of the power amplifier driver stages.”
Copland rates the CSA 150 with a frequency response of 10Hz to 150kHz (–3dB) and a signal-to-noise ratio of 'better than' 90dB (IHF-A).
Analog inputs include three pairs of single-ended RCA, one balanced XLR pair, and an RIAA input for MM cartridges. There's also a tape loop in/out function and pre-out terminal and a front-facing 6.3mm headphone output.
There's one USB, coaxial, and two Optical inputs on the digital side, making the most of the ESS ES9018 Reference 32-bit DAC in quad-mono configuration.
At just 435mm (w) x 164mm (H) x 370mm (D), and weighing 16kg, the Copland CSA150 is available now and sells for $8,400 RRP.
