Bang & Olufsen Celebrates 90 Years
To commemorate the love affair Bang & Olufsen has had with its customers over the past 90 years, the company has launched a selection of products in a Rose golden nuance and called it The Love Affair Collection. Bang & Olufsen have now announced that it will add the iconic BeoLab 5 speaker to this limited collection.
1925 was the year in which Peter Bang & Svend Olufsen began their famous company quest. It was a time when jazz music blossomed, and where the young set themselves free. This was when Art Deco peaked, with its representation of luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. With the special collection, they have set out to capture the mood and style of an age characterised by elegance, enticement and energy.
There were 6 products in the Collection, but due to high demand from customers, Bang & Olufsen have added the speaker as the 7th item to the collection. The BeoLab 5 is an iconic piece of design and is a favourite with both new and existing customers that wish to appreciate design and technological brilliance. It is available with either black or Forged Iron fabric color to compliment the elegant rose color.
Interestingly The Love Affair Collection has chosen the Rose gold finish, which has an underlying meaning. While white gold represents friendship and yellow gold means fidelity, rose gold represents love and is therefore the ultimate inspiration for this collection.
The Love Affair Collection is made up of the following products; the majestic and recently launched BeoVision Avant 85, the all-in one entertainment solution BeoVision 11-46 and BeoRemote One, the popular magic-touch BeoPlay A9 music system, the elegant, lightweight BeoPlay H6 headphones, the classic, slender and straight-lined BeoLab 18 with a new walnut lamella front and a cabinet in a stunningly elegant Rose golden version and lastly the BeoLab 5 is now added to this list.
The 90th anniversary is celebrated with an exclusive engraving akin to the other products in this collection.
The Beolab 5 is unique design with 5 drivers and 4 separate power amplifiers for a total power output of 2,500W and stands almost a meter tall. It utilises Adaptive Bass Control (ABC) and features Acoustic Lens Technology (ALT) which also contributes to its unique styling.
It is now available through one of the nine Bang and Olufsen stores in Australia for $32,550/pair in the rose color, or in silver for $31,000/pair.
