Audio Active to Distribute Tannoy in Australia
Audio Active, Australian distributors of brands including Paradigm, Anthem, Luxman, IsoTek, Martin Logan and more, have announced their appointment as sole distributor of Tannoy residential products in Australia.
Timed to coincide with the recent takeover of TC Group (the previous owners of Tannoy) by Behringer's 'Music Group' company, this new move will see the Tannoy brand gain significantly across all their divisions.
TC Group’s strong focus is on product innovation and IP creation, and further demonstrated by their 'TC Applied Technologies' company, which is invested in cutting-edge semiconductor designs, networking and interface technology.
Uli Behringer said on the new acquisition:
We will invest heavily in positioning TC Group’s brands at the very pinnacle of the industry, as we have done with Midas, Klark Teknik and Turbosound, where we have invested over $100 million in highly automated and integrated manufacturing facilities, quality control systems and engineering resources, including a new Centre of Engineering Excellence in Manchester, UK. TC Group will now equally have full access to Music Group’s extensive resources and advanced automated system platforms in such areas as product development and lifecycle management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and finance.
Paul Clarke, General Manager, Sales & Marketing for Audio Active told StereoNET:
We are excited about the new model line up confirmed for the remainder of this year and into early next year and with recent superb reviews on the new Revolution range, things will undoubtedly heat up for the brand. There will also be a few surprises at the affordable end of the market we are told.
With a prestigious heritage and history of quality products and with new ownership prepared to back new directions and product development, Tannoy should once again become a force in the Australian market.
