Arcam Announces Solo Uno All-in-one Streaming Amplifier for New Year
Arcam's new Solo Uno all-in-one streaming amplifier looks to be a faff-free way of getting your digital tunes out through a set of speakers.
The Solo Uno is a Class D streaming amplifier combines a small footprint (140 x 52 x 213mm - WxHxD) with attractive looks. Arcam possibly puts it better:
A compact streamer with a built-in amplifier the Solo Uno has an elegant, no-fuss feel about it, radiating a minimal style.
Thanks to that built-in amp, Ethernet and WiFi capabilities, and speaker outputs you're pretty much ready to rock.
All you have to add is a pair of speakers (and a subwoofer if you want) and you're golden.
The Uno's Class D amp can push out 25W into 8 Ohms or double that at 4 Ohms.
You can send music to the Solo Uno wirelessly via Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and UPnP - yup. there's an accompanying app, too. Additionally, the new Arcam streamer will work as a Roon endpoint.
