Should AC/DC call it quits?

Recommended Posts

My favourite Bon albums are TNT and High Voltage! (Ironically 'High Voltage is on the TNT album, but not on the High Voltage album) !!

TNT is obvious, a lot of hits on the album, but High Voltage is a very different AC-DC album, more mellow and not so riffy but some great slower songs with feel! Very different from most of their other albums.

And I'm talking the 'Aussie' versions, NOT the stupid 'US' versions where they swapped songs around for god knows why??

Pink Floyd seemed to make to work ok too.

Best thing to ever happen to pink Floyd was Walters leaving (runs for cover)

That's because it was the transition from singles to albums.

You will remember that even Deep Purple had albums without the singles on them.

I was a fan of the Bon Scott days but I have to say I was blown away by Back in Black

Different band, the real AC/DC, the rock band died with Bon Scott. There was a stadium band called AC/DC that appeared after his death. Never the same.

If they MUST have Axl, then they should give a nobody a shot.

This is what Axl sounds like singing Acca Dacca

Is ACDC the only band in the world where the indisputable front man is the guitarist who doesnt sing?

Black Sabbath.

......if you ask Tony Iommi

I'm seeing them in Sydney ! Missed them last time around, and this is their last hoorah!!

Actually I saw them with 'Dio' , (they were called 'Heaven & Hell because they weren't allowed to use the name 'Black Sabbath) !, Even though they WERE Black Sabbath with Dio in the eighties!

In his day when he could sing yes, but he struggles these days. There would also be drama no doubt as he's a flog with a capital F.

He's so absolutely hideous! I'm so absolutely captivated and entranced by his utter grossness right now - I'm hanging out for the epic meltdown must inevitably be the GnR reunion - and now this! Heaven... :)

....and that's fine.

I don't have a problem with people preferring Bon.

Of course not.

But when people (not saying anyone here did) say "they should have stopped when Bon died, Brian sucks" it makes me a bit......grrr.

;)

:D
