Mr. Nork and I have been having extensive conversations in the background around what next and based on these discussions decided to do a little room reshuffle to try and acoustically even out the R & L speaker. Speakers now reside on the back short wall and all gear and vinyl racks moved to other locations. Even without DSP bass appears to be more even with minimal sacrifice in soundstage width or depth. 12 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tubularbells Posted September 21, 2022 Author Share Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) Picked up some some corner bass traps (Artnovion Siena mobile wall) from Hey Now HiFi today. Each of the 3 traps on each side are tunable to cover a fairly broad band of low frequencies. Haven't had a chance to listen yet but am looking forward to seeing if I can perceive any difference or not. As shown a decent improvement from 55hz and beyond but as expected still have the bass shelf below 45hz along with the camels hump around 630hz. Although ideally id like them to bite a bit lower into the low end im pretty happy with the result of the traps so far.
