Bespoke Audio Company passive pre

Recommended Posts

Curious about passive preamplifiers?

Our Bespoke Audio Company demonstrator preamp is now in production. To say we're excited is an enormous understatement! Being bespoke, we've selected our input/output configuration; we added an XLR output for certain amps, and went with a 4 RCA, 2 XLR inputs. For the front trim rings we've opted for Roman numerals to maintain the classic styling. We were presented with the technical drawings as specified, as you will when you commence the journey of building your own end-game pre.

The build log will unravel over the following weeks.

Just a thought in terms of the rear panel, the balance output should be numbered as three and the output label should extend to include the balanced output as it extends and includes the balanced connectors on the input side. Minor detail but perfect means just that.

Good point B. I think it wasn't extended as it's an auxiliary spot (can be used as a tape loop etc), and my chassis is already in the anodising bath!

Raw cowls and base. These should be back any day now from the anodising.

Looks like one of those minimalist Japanese gardens you see in the Sunday paper lift outs.

Wiring is now complete on our preamp. It's on the bench running in after testing completed. They're just awaiting the treated trim rings and then ready for its journey Down Under! If we're lucky enough to receive this in time, then the first public unveiling will be at the Sydney Audio Club meeting on Sunday Nov 15th.
