evil c
It's all "Chinese" to me ! Until I read something in English and hear some external reviews will suspend judgement. Expect the price converted to be $8,850.00 Aust or you could buy NS1000M's for under $2k !

evil c
Aaahh - well that's a good point although can't remember seeing many speakers sold by "half a pair" . Although either way it's a bucket of cash to revisit /recreate an old classic !

Demondes
Guys if you use Google Chrome as a browser it does quite a good translation job. Speakers won't be available until next July. They should have been on display at the Tokyo hifi show over the past few days. It seems that the price is for 1 speaker eg 750k each, but you must buy a pair The matching stands are 75k each. (note: This part needed clarification in Japanese from the wife) Ouch that makes the set $20k per pair. Ay caramba. Are they really going to be better than Magico etc in the 20 Range? Hergest
The top of the range JBL speakers are often priced each in Japan. I can't think how many times I've come across a Japanese sales site and been excited at the price only to see on closer inspection that the price is per speaker. Guest
A quick look shows the price of the ns 2000 when first relesead in the US was $2900 - in today's money that's nearly $8000 US or close to $12000 Aus - so is $20k all that much of a shock - especially if they are a great speaker :-)
Darryl
Interesting that it's called the 5000. I would have thought they'd call it 3000 to match the amp and CD player. Perhaps there's a 5000 amp and CD player coming?!

Perhaps there's a 5000 amp and CD player coming?! Good point if the ns5000 or 3000 was valued at say $8000 ish, match the cds3000 and the as3000 be a nice one brand system, maybe they need to do a gt3000 as well :-)
