You asked for it! Furutech right-angled IEC plugs hurrah!

Recommended Posts

I get asked at least once a week if anyone makes a high quality IEC plug that exists at right angles, so their rack can be kept close to the wall. Well Furutech have answered your prayers :)

They're available now for $130ea. Hurry, stocks limited (there are 4 left before the next Furutech order) so BE QUICK!

What an awesome idea.

I imagine the connection is far more solid than a thick power cable putting traction on the plug at some odd angle.

I was one of those guys. This is one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time.

Just bought one, this is perfect for my MC275.

Great idea for odd components like the MC275 where the IEC plug is on the side.

Thanks for the order Chris! I'll be using some of these in my own system as well...

Hi Cameron,

Do you ever have in stock the same right angled AUS power plugs - I see that Furutech make US ones? If not stocked can they be ordered?

Cheers. Frank

Hey Frank,

You're right they have the US ones (but are not available to order yet, so haven't mentioned them). Nothing from them regarding AUS plugs at this stage however. But I'm going to be trying next week to see if an AUS Furutech will fit the FI-12 barrel. I think, though, that if it does, it may not have the capability to lock into the 4 positions that the IEC can (i.e. may float without some kind of locking tab). So we may need to play the waiting game.

I'll certainly post any news on an AUS version as I think that there would be high demand for that.
