WTF!!!

Ayon Stratos dac/pre is on the way. Am very excited.

Have configured maximum mortgage payments under the latest fixed rate so can do these things a tad guilt free now. :D

Just looking at it, and comes across as impressive piece of kit on paper, over built PS for analogue output section, 16 x mono dacs to 2 stereo outs.

6H30 tube complement :)

Logical sequenced soft-start power up for extended tube life

Warm up function

0dB negative feedback  (of any kind )

Ultra short signal path

Simplest direct circuit path for purest musical sound and high reliability

Low output impedance for driving long runs interconnect to an amplifier, and any tube or solid state
power amp

No solid state devices in the analog tube output (signal path )

Minimal discrete wiring for optimum signal propagation

No followers or buffers in the signal path

High quality parts throughout

Fully hand assembled to insure the highest level of craftsmanship

Separate analog output stage for left and right channel

Analog inputs ( single-eded and fully balanced)

All digital inputs

Internal hardware PCM upsampler for CD sources to 24/192K (can be disabled)

Native 192kHz PCM and DSDx128 conversion

Ultra-low jitter internal clock generator

USB input (24/192 asynchronous  and DSD)

Yes and have another pair of 'Reflektors' on the way. The jury was out as to what I received before but I have ordered another pair of the same to go into the Stratos, was/am very happy with the performance of the tubes in the Ayon product. Will refit the original Sovteks for the sale and the Reflektors will go into the Stratos along with the new pair coming, should be quite awesome methinks.

Guest deanB

The winds of change are gusting through Chèz Daz.

Certainly looking forward to your musings on the Jbl experience, especially given the wattage at your command and an uninhibited approach to using it.

Regards signal/input valve rolling, I'm becoming less concerned about brands and focussing more on getting excellent measuring, lowest noise examples. With the 6H30 being such a high gain device, finding a supplier who is diligent with quality control is a must.

I don't know, @Johnno2017 got the DAC and @David.Masilamoni got the pre :D

Ayon Stratos on the way. Not sure when the Weston will ever arrive :D

Daz, if you lived just a bit closer, and I didn’t have the man flu,  I’d be there with my pre and dac to give these bad boys a christening, keen to hear them in the not too distant future.
