QAC Spit Roast

Recommended Posts

July 2015 - QAC Family GTG - Phil G - Chuwar

The essence of a good club is the members. Once again QAC menbers turned up, helped out, got on with each other and had a good time.

The catalyst for this was Phil and his generous spirit and yet another successful meeting at his place.

The pig-on-a spit roast was universally approved of and everyone had a good feed, some even went home with trays of meat for the following week.

Audio-wise it was low key, this was primarily a social affair. The Audio Flea Market, held in Phils shed was popular and there were quite a few going home with new [old] things in their boot. That said, there were a few stalwarts who made good use of Phil's excellent system.

This was Phil's last hoorah as the 'Big Cheese' and mine as Webmaster. Simon and Andrew will be taking over now. I hope you liked what we did, thank-you for your support.

Lastly, a big thank-you to all those who contributed food and effort to make this a great day. Especially with clearing and washing up!

There's a lot of jumpers being worn there.

Are you sure it's Queensland?

Yes....Ipswich, Queensland. Hot in summer cold in winter.

We did have a newly arrived Victorian dressed for summer, give him a year and he will be rugged up like the rest of us.

At least it did not rain.

Steven.

Mmmmmmmm. The pig was much appreciated to help with the night shift blues. An added bonus was jealousy from the fellow night shift comrade.

I was disappointed that there wasn't a decent shot of the pig!

I would however like to also throw in my many thanks to all that contributed.

Was a much needed break for me.

Babe was yummy.

Actually everything I got to sample was yummy.

Looks like a good gathering, but a bit cold.

That shed is too tidy.

I'll come down next time and sort it out

Yes, my favourite gal & I drove down in The Slavo, arrived in our best summer gear.

Everyone was dressed for winter.

Weird!

Great turnout

Met some great people

Stole some ideas from Phil's beaut shed

Loved the Volvo 1800E

Took bones home for the dogs

Gotta be happy with all that 😀
