I get good results with my Naim CD5 XS, ND5 XS, Flatcap XS, Nait XS2, and PMC Twenty.23 speakers.

I didn't mention it because it's not the Twenty5.23.

What do people like best about their PMC’s?

For me so far it’s the revealing nature while still, for the most part,  being easy to listen to.

Timing, as good as anything on earth. Play 'TOUCH' by Yellow and you'll understand why this is so.

A good balance of bass power, smooth midrange, and excitement.

Have now run my PMC Twenty5.23 speakers in & they sound great, particularly the bass response. Wondering what other members of the PMC club suggest as an integrated amplifier that has good synergy with floor-standing Twenty5.23. Would be great to hear what amps have worked & those that have not...

1. Class A or AB OR D

2. Manufacturers - Luxman & Exposure have been mentioned, but happy to explore other alternatives - Accuphase, Sugden A21SE, Audia Flight Three S, Modwright KWI 200, Unison Research

Budget $4-5K,

Thanks

Well I think because the PMC's are so reveiling my Plinius is just too honest. It is very neutral so what the source gives is what you get.

The Exposure 2010S2 I had was probably the best performer with them. Everything sat right. Very detailed yet warm, lush vocals, bass when demanded and spot on highs.

I have also tried a Redgum Black edition RGi120NRG. Too agressive, too much bass, just not balanced.

I've heard a Sugden class a with some Twenties (not sure which model. Bookshelves) at Stereophonic and that was a very good match.

I have a Sansui AU-Alpha 907 comming in the future so I'll be keen to here what those 180w/ch sound like on the PMC's.

Bought mine as they were the least fatiguing of all the bookshelf speakers I auditioned. No sibilance at all which I was picking up with every other bookshelf, yet nothing was "missing" in the top end either.
Also good bass for the small size, and great sound even at low volume. Have found other speakers really need to be "loud" to get all the information out.

Thanks Blakey, appreciate sharing your experience. Hopefully something will come up in Brisbane that I can audition. Would love to hear a B.M.C. Audio CS2/CS3 but no chance of that & the Vitus RI-100 would be end-game I suspect! What does everyone think of vintage Accuphase - E260, E307, E308 or similiar from Luxman...anyone tried these combos'?
