dwbasement 3,444 Posted March 27, 2015 (edited) Hi, not sure if this topic has been started if not here it is, I am sure there are heaps of ECM fans here and would be good to share some of your favourites. I will start with one of Keith's best solo concerts, this is a 10lps box set, hours of amazing music. Dave O))) 5,232 Posted March 27, 2015 Where do I start? I am new to this stuff, but a few I have enjoyed lately are Ralph Towner & some Oregon, John Surman, Egberto Gismonti, Charles Lloyd, Anouar Brahem, Kayhan Kalhor, Vassilis Tsabropolous, Alexander Knaifel & Arvo Paert. I have the original vinyl pressings of Jarrett's "Concerts" series. It is such a timeless label.....

Dave O))) 5,232 Posted March 27, 2015 (edited) Yes, and Koln edit, the box is signed on the back "Oren Ambarchi 6/5/86". I must have bought it from him in the redeye secondhand store over twenty years ago. Edited March 27, 2015 by rehabit@
RankStranger 1,278 Posted March 27, 2015 I have Koln on vinyl. A bit of surface noise but holy crap it sounds good. Also Hymns/Spheres which is just Jarrett and a massive pipe organ. He gets some wild sounds out of it.

Dave O))) 5,232 Posted March 27, 2015 I agree. Great music, but I find Keith's grunts and moans a bit off-putting at times

hired goon 5,044 Posted March 28, 2015 I will start with one of Keith's best solo concerts, this is a 10lps box set, hours of amazing music. I have Koln (2LP), Concerts (3LP) and Sun Bear (10LP). Also got La Scala, Paris, Vienna, Rio, and Radiance on CD, but the first three are me faves. --Geoff
