Telecine
Only my receiver, not a dedicated pre and not with this amp. Are you thinking something along the lines of impedance mismatching, lack of gain or something?I think an active preamp would help considerably with imaging. It might also be the case that your CDP lacks a sufficiently capable output stage to properly drive your Naksa.Lastly, I think that you need more power in a room that size. See if you can borrow an active preamp and more powerful power amp and report back. Your room actually looks pretty good. I wouldn't switch you gear to the other end, you have it in the right location in my view. A room like this should produce a huge soundstage. Room treatments will help but not until you get the fundamentals right. Try the Cardas guide to speaker placement along with an active preamp and different power amp. If you can't get a decent soundstage with that, you need new speakers. Edited April 14, 2015 by Telecine
