Spetz
How are Aaron speakers/subs regarded? I've only heard a few and at that a long time ago. Specifically if anyone knows about the Aaron Sub-60 active subwoofer?
megamond
9 inch "low Q' bass reflex; f3 = 30Hz?, 50W RMS amp. Will probably go fine with your bookshelves.

howze
Ive got a pair of the current ats-5s and im really quite happy with them, have had a few little modifications done so far and a few more to come yet but for $300 i got them for i think there a bargain. If you're in s.a. you're more than welcome to pop round for a listen Edited January 18, 2015 by howze
almikel
Aussie made, has his own anechoic chamber for testing, smart guy. I've never heard any, but read a great article in an Aussie stereo mag about his setup in Ballina. Definitely worth a listen Mike
silver_man
I've had a pair of the long since discontinued ATS2 oversize bookshelf speakers since they first came out (1996-97 i think). Only now am I considering replacing them, mostly to downsize a little, they sound as clear as I remember them ever being. Excellent value for money and great build quality. If you can find the Sub240, this is a bit of a sleeper subwoofer, smallish footprint but dual drivers and integrates well with most smaller speakers. MKSOUND_HT
silver_man is very correct regarding the Sub240. It was the first home theater Subwoofer I heard and it got me into home theater in the first place. Its itself very well amongst smaller speakers and the dual drivers definitely put out a good punch. Good luck with your purchase
