bedding in very nicely 2sheds, the Raven AC-3 is making beautiful music.

Interestly the Blue Pearl is based on the Lumley, buit at 6 or 7 times the price. Maybe the Lumley is a giant killer??

Hi-Fi News reckoned the updated Lumley is something of a hi end TT bargain, relative to the other mega money spinners anyway.

Ja. Das is gut :) The turntable is.....Rossner and Sohn Phonophant GML 45 (or GML 30) with Pick-Up-Arm SI 1

Mind you, I like their version with the slightly longer tonearm....

Too easy turntable :) 4 out of the 5 have been in this post.

  1. AAS-Gabriel/Da Vinci Audio Labs turntable
  2. Transrotor Artus
  3. Basis Audio Work of Art
  4. Goldmund Reference II
  5. Clearaudio Statement

And the Phantom, although pricey, is about the only thing I can afford from that little lot. The Goldmund Reference II at over $300,000 is clearly not on my shopping list :o

Just wondering 2sheds if I was to buy that Transrotor Artus, do you think they'd throw in the Box Hedges, it appers to me, (not clipped) in those al-foil covered pots?

How tacky is that photo with a TT of that price range. They are not doing themselves any justice if they think that's gonna help their sales. Let's not forget the competition (as this thread shows), is rather fierce.

I've just bumped it off my list as no longer tantilising. :o

Further, not even worthy of any respect. :)

Quite agree. Why can't the hi-fi industry embrace the presentation skills of the car industry...?

Too true Nudey. We should boycott any dealers who refuse to use bikini clad babes for their sales :)
