Tantalising Turntables

Hey Andy

Rubber ala SME tables.        lol, the table is small for his 12 inch arms, so he has to go outboard - almost oxymoronic imo.

In theory the rubber suspension will move out of sync with the no suspension outboard arm boards.   In theory may not mean it doesn't sound good..

If I buy a Kronos, I will stick to Kronos design. That’s just me

I know that this is an advertisement, but I think the turntable is tantalising.

Better look quickly, because the ad. will disappear.

If you put a record over the platter it won't look that good. the platter is actually smaller than a record

I had one of these as my first turntable. Not really that great IMO. A lot of rumble and also speed problems. Upgraded to an AR XB which was much better.

The rubber motor mounts on these perish due to age causing the pulley to rub.

In my opinion these are highly overrated and are really only worth the price of the tonearm....

This looks to be a set up for audiophile interpretation of hidden messages when the record is played backwards- maybe the table has 33, 45, 33R, 45R to further enable this?

Maybe not exactly tantalising. But this is what HRH the Queen has on the Royal Yacht Brittania as the Royal family’s record player from the day.

They are some beautiful works of turntable art.

I wonder how the acoustics of the room are with all those guitars on the wall?

I like the relatively uncluttered looks of the SME Model 12 😍
