Tantalising Turntables

How darn sexy is this.  I almost got a woody when I first saw it.   I want one.

Ooh, that I like. How does the arm work? Air bearing? Sapphire and bit of wire? Servo?

Brinkmann Audio's latest turntable, the Taurus. A Brinkmann Bardo on steroids is probably the best description and this set up has the Acoustical Systems Aquilar 12" arm and a Van den Hul Colibri cartridge. By all reports the Taurus is now Herr Brinkmann's most popular deck.

Being Devils advocate here, but that belt is too long  and only pulling on one side. Dont know about the arm linear can be amazing I have an Eminent Technology arm, but they are are a pain in the butt too. I use my sl1200g much more.

This inspired me to make my own stepper motor driven linear tracker, to see how good it is. I managed to source the same silent stepper motor driver that Dereneville use and it's driven by an Arduino.
