Metal: Currently Spinning

Time for some black metal posts Tubularbells

Ha well it just so happens this was on the spinner in celebration of the new avatar.

There's something about the production on this that reminds me of some ancient mechanical war machine that I find appealing.

Also check out that number, damn it only 21 copies off the holy grail!

....but to prove I'm not all death and destruction the metal goddess Doro wrote to me and thinks I'm ok (yeah in my dreams)

Took my then gf (now wife) to see here when she played in Melb. on the Fight tour and it was her first (and unfortunately last) metal gig. Note to self, never take a gf to a gig where your constatantly having to wipe the drool from the side of your mouth :)

Don't want to hijack this thread however I was just talking to my 6yo son before bedtime as he likes to come into my music room a "little visit" and I was playin a 7" Maiden single so of course I had to give him a full run down of what a single was etc. etc.

Anyway I mentioned to him I happened to own the shortest single in the world so naturally he wanted to hear ir so here it is. Total playing time is 2 seconds!!!!!

Just found this thread. I tend more to car than home audio, purely due to playing as loud as I want in the car and not able to at home. Will work my way through this thread to find some new music. I must admit that my collection kind of stopped with Metallica, Mötley Crüe and pantera. I did enjoy disc two of metallicas through the never on the way home yesterday. Getting my face massaged by the drums in master of puppets brightened my day.

Man haven't heard Deja VU in ages as unfortunately it must have been in one of the boxes of vinyl I misplaced over the years of not owning a turntable.

Only surviving ST is how Will I Laugh and Lights Camera.

Gave this a spin and remembered, and wondered if you've given it another shot?

Really worth it, epic album..

@@NeilNZ haven't listened to Disincarnate in years - James Murphy was one of my favourite metal guitarists in my late teens, great work on Cause of Death, Spiritual Healing and countless others

@@Tubularbells, the first 4 albums are my favourites, Turn Loose the Swans is a masterpiece. I interviewed Andy for a magazine years ago, around the time of their first album, As the Flower Withers, in 1992 or so.

@@blackangus, I got into Disincarnate because Aaron from MDB did some guest vocals, but ended up loving it! Like nothing else around at the time, a shame nothing more came of it. Spiritual Healing is a classic, I remember working out Killing Spree on the guitar  way back in the day and being so pleased with myself!
