The Song Game

No-Man - Love And Endings cd/dvd- waiting on the vinyl to arrive.

Porcupine Tree- Arriving Somewhere- this is actually a dvd but I'm just listening to the audio via laptop/dac/amp/headphones and it sounds great. Most if not all this set is up on You Tube.

Started the afternoon with some Sparklehorse on lp then moved onto the Cowboy Junkies-Demon sessions vol2, the Vic Chesnutt tribute. Wonderful as those covers are there's nothing to match the late Mr chesnutt singing his own songs so it was onto Is The actor Happy and since things were moving to the more eccentric what better way to finish than with Gene Clarks truely leftfield masterpiece, No other.

Being buying a few of those remastered Pink Floyd albums after a 20 year absense from my collection.

The records where worn beyond playable condition , but the engineer has done a great job on the remasters. I love the punchyness of the drums on "Run like hell" from "The Wall" .You can feel the real impact with a bit of (ok lots) of volume. Bit like having a tripple expresso on crisp cold morning.

CD list

Animals

Meddle ( "One of those Days" an all time fav)

The Wall

Sat down before the footy to watch snippets of Queen - "Rock Monteal and Live Aid"

Wow what a soundtrack, must be one of the best I've experienced on this format, slam and subteranean bass.........at concert levels at times, very impressive.

Picture quality though was variable, but who cares when you're getting smacked around the body with this stuff.

Cheers.
