Pieface
No doubt I will stumble across the Two Towers at some stage and round out the trilogy. They are a great ride and that they can so vividly recreate the movie in your mind is telling as to how important the score was to bringing these movies to life.

Had to go and check and this is what I have. There was a ton of music and other sound elements not used in the film that has never been released apart from these various bootlegs which is a shame.... Ian McP
Get Shorty soundtrack https://www.allmusic.com/album/get-shorty-mw0000645875 < In line with the movie's tongue-in-cheek treatment of the gangster noir genre, Get Shorty's soundtrack features a tumbling mix of dusky soul jazz informed by the spirit of Henry Mancini's "Peter Gunn Theme." John Lurie contributes most of the tracks, striking a fine balance between straight bop and movie theme atmospherics. Fellow travelers Morphine and Medeski, Martin & Wood contribute some sophisticated back-alley fare of their own, with Morphine's dub and flamenco cut "Bo's Veranda" deserving special mention. And adding breakbeat momentum, Greyboy goes in for some syncopated funk rhythms overlaid with strings and light fusion touches on "Panacea." In the midst of all this, Us3's opening cut comes off sounding a bit outdated, while the two Booker T. & the MG's sides fit right in with the retro soul program. A perfect soundtrack purchase for acid jazz fans who likes their grooves laced with smoky ambience. > https://www.amazon.com/Get-Shorty-Original-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B00000470K < 1. Thats GOLD! Never heard of that release so i'll have to try and track one down. If you dont mind me asking where did you find it? All i have is the original soundtrack which to be honest kinda suck (especially the utterly tragic remake of the Tubular Bells excerpt reminding me of those god awful K-Tel releases seen in the 80's of songs sung by non-original artists.
