Nice one Ant. That's a freakin fantastic album. Haven't got it anymore, but if I ever see another copy I'll be sure to get it.

Surprisingly good soundtrack and I haven't yet watched the film, but I think I will be soon. I'm surprised, not so much from the performance of Lady Gaga who is excellent here, but rather how good Bradley Cooper is.

Cheers,

Keith

G'day Keith.

Yeah Man, watched the movie last night, not even knowing that it was Lady GaGa.  Great movie (live performances are top notch), and music, much of it written and performed by her and Cooper.

Pretty cool to make such a movie using genuine musical talent, not just acting and miming.

No spoliers here, just recommended viewing.

Cheers.

Ant.

Is there a Ry album that isn't fantastic? In his earlier days he seemed to concentrate on blues/Americana, but I feel his work with the Buena Vista Social Club had a profound impact on him, as if a whole new paradigm of musical awareness was born. He always had a social awareness too. If you get the chance, have a listen to the album Chávez Ravine, it tells the story of a whole Hispanic community being moved on for the sake of a new football stadium.

get a copy of the Skin I Live In OST and try it out at the next hifi show on a big system. This track has fabulous dynamics!

I like the combination of the full orchestra and the beats.
