I have been listening to Vangelis: Blade Runner

This the gold standard for me. A friend gave me a Balinese pirated tape copy when I was nine. I loved it as a kid. As a teenager it was musical lingua franca, almost universally liked by friends with

Philip Glass - Powaqqatsi

the Pink Floyd... ha ha

I've been to Zabriskie Point...marvellous place. Never seen the movie though. Soundtrack looks great. Good selection there mate.

Cracking soundtrack to a brilliant movie.  Best animation I've ever seen, but definitely don't let the kids anywhere near this.  Definitely M18+!

Waltz with Bashir is a dark and great film, Check out his new film, much lighter in tone, The Congress, sci fi fantasy fun, highly recommended

A great diverse bunch of artists, but a worthwhile soundtrack even if only just for this:

must get that American Hustle LP.

Excellent soundtrack! Wife apparently saw my toe tapping when watching the film a few weeks ago and put it on her list - thank goodness she's more observant than I am!

Never been a fan of Pop song comps as soundtracks but there have been some crackers of late.

I was inspired me to give this a spin. Great film, great soundtrack...love it!

Now I want to watch both Rollerball, and Class of 1984.. again!

Even though must say based on their covers/reputations I was expecting to be more or lets say ultra violent..

Mark Knopfler has done some good soundtrack albums.

Local Hero (fairly obviously).

A Shot At Glory, one which seems to have been overlooked somewhat. I actually rate this as one of his best soundtrack efforts

Soundtrack to anime director extraordinaire Mamoru Oshii's long awaited followup to the acclaimed 'Ghost In The Shell'. The film was scored by Oshii's long time collaborator Kenji Kawai.

The jewel in the crown this astonishingly beautiful tracked performed by Opera singer Elżbieta Towarnicka, that is perhaps easier to post in the tube thread here - VOYAGE TO AVALON

This the gold standard for me. A friend gave me a Balinese pirated tape copy when I was nine. I loved it as a kid. As a teenager it was musical lingua franca, almost universally liked by friends with otherwise different tastes. Looking back this was one of my earliest exposures to soul and r&b, which has grown to be my favourite stuff. It seems to get faint praise critically but with Al Jackson, Duck Dunn and Steve Cropper for a rhythm section and cameos from Aretha , Ray Charles, JB and Cab Calloway, I reckon it holds its own okay. My kids like it too. I gave my 7 year old the MOV reissue for xmas.

I had no idea for many, many years that the band came first ;)

Coincidentally, gave this a spin the other day..

A trip to the crime converters today, all $2 each:

Tangerine Dream - Thief -- an early 80s soundtrack, just to fill a gap in me collection.

Love this sound, and stoked to belatedly discover the soundtrack to Beyond the Black Rainbow has finally been released!

Good film. Aerosmith's daughter the main character. Some amazing tracks. Probably my favourite soundtrack.

Portishead, Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker, Nina Simone, among a lot of others,a great mix!
