The 'Hifi gear in movies' thread....

Recommended Posts

Just watching 'as good as it gets'

And i noticed lots of vinyl in the background, then i clearly recognised McIntosh gear.....

So was just wondering, who else looks at the background and recognise hifi gear?

So who spotted what gear in what movie....

Robert Redford operated a high-end turntable in Indecent Proposal, I think that it was a VPI but it may not havebeen: it's been a long time. I've also seen Linn gear on some Scottish detective series whose name escapes me. And I think that DCI Banks has Arcam electronics too.

Am I the only one who sometimes pauses a movie just to try and work out what the hi-fi in the background is? It drives my wife to distraction.

Nah, i do it too....

But i can patiently wait till the movie is finished.

Then go back and re-evaluate and over anylise the scene....

And I seem to recall Revel speakers in that Mel Gibson movie where he can read a woman's mind. (Mel Gibson reading a woman's mind, is that total fantasy or what?)

plus Mark Levinson electronics...

:edit: must read the OP before posting
