339 is like half way between a Les Paul and a 335.

Hi Amadeus,

Logic is correct.

It is a semi hollow body, like the 335, but smaller. It is also a lot more resistant to feedback issues associated with a larger box.

Sound and design is much closer to a 335, than a Les Paul.

It has 57 Humbuckers like a 335, whereas most Les Pauls have Burstbuckers, Zebras or P90s. The Les Paul is also, obviously, solid body.

I tried a 335, but I just found it too big, and cumbersome.

Yes. That's correct. A lot depends on the amp, though.
