Extra Info: I have owned this 5 channel amp from new. Purchased direct from Butler Audio in the USA with a delivered cost of over $4200.00 & was shipped as a 230 V Amp. It has had very little use...less than 400 hours...in a smoke free pet free environment.

For a 5 channel amp this is one that can be used for music as well as movies & its sound reproduction will best any 5 channel power amplifier at anywhere near this price. No surprise really given BJ Butler's background.

Recommended as a genuine alternative for bi-amping.

I have the original packing boxes, spare tubes & manual all in excellent condition so this can be shipped any in Aus at the buyers expense.

A rather tough question to answer when I do not know what you have listened to...

Butler started off by making valve wow wow pedals for "name" guitarists...that is how he made his name.

His amps reproduce a guitar better than any other Surround Sound amp...that tells you they have great midrange.

I also have an Elektra here...in my opinion the Butler is better....I know others will disagree...Rob

Sorry for lateness of reply, thanks.

I guess i meant is it similar to another manufacturers 'house sound'.

Your amp looks awesome. And sounds better than an elektra is brilliant.

I guess i'm hesitant due to the uniqueness of this ....

Both Surround Sound amps have left the building to spend time with another SNA'er who is looking for a quality surround sound amp.

He is experiencing a stroke of good fortune & I am looking forward to hearing his opinion...Rob
