KRSDarwin
I recently had the chance through Air Raid Records in Darwin to acquire some great jazz albums from a well curated collection. I am putting them through the URCM and the first cab off the rank is a 1965 German pressing that is sublime. KRSDarwin
Of the several days in 1961 that produced Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby comes this 1984 US pressing. Recorded live, hugely enjoyable jazz. Bill Evans Trio, More from the Vanguard Edited November 7, 2020 by KRSDarwin

KRSDarwin
I first heard of Art Pepper by reading a Michael Connolly novel (of the Hieronymus Bosch series) and tried him out. He is a jazz artist I really enjoy and so I really loved this 1963 US pressing which sounds superb. I also appreciated the liner notes for the thoughtful information and colour it provides. My fav Art album One of the first Art Pepper albums I purchased, on CD. Lucky enough to pick up a 1973 (stereo) US repress yesterday. Gave it a spin this morning and it sounds sensational. Will put it through the ultrasonic RCM and listen again.
KRSDarwin
If you are on to a good thing, stick to it. Art and the Rhythm Section sounded even better after a URCM so then moved on to this 1980 first US pressing Art Pepper, Friday Night at the Village Vanguard
KRSDarwin
Now this is different jazz, ‘word jazz’. Experimental I would say. Dulcet tones and some unusual stories, but not what I would understand as jazz. ‘Ken Nordine and the Bob Katz Group, Word Jazz
