The playing list so far today. All recent arrivals through the week.

Except for Hank Mobley, all Japanese releases.

Excellant, all of them. More to come as the day goes on.

**though I can't guarantee my typing ability as the red wine starts to take over.. (though most would be used to that by now).20190223_140416.jpeg20190223_140428.jpeg20190223_142718.jpeg20190223_142727.jpeg20190223_152827.jpeg20190223_152839.jpeg20190223_153455.jpeg20190223_152552.jpeg

Hank Mobley Soul Station.

I’m a fan of the Blue Note RVG edition CDs from the late 90s.  To me they sound closer to analogue than digital, yet I know some who don’t like the signature sound from these reissues.

People often listen with their preconceived idea rather than the ears. I'm more of a vinyl person however quite enjoy and like my Naxos jazz cds from the 90s for example. I haven't heard the SoulStation cd, but can imagine it sounds awesome.

I’m a fan of the Blue Note RVG edition CDs from the late 90s as well...I'll buy them together with my Blue Note vinyl copies...

Best of both worlds...

Yes I have the CD too, he's  good value...

The vinyl costs a fortune!

I have seen that - I must say, as admiring as i am of SNAers who have a commitment to securing great quality pressings, the price points certainly make me feel comfortable with hi res download and CDs and a digital experience.

I don’t often go for compilations, but at an op-shop dollar, who’d walk past it!  It’s actually really good!

Also appreciating the newer records listed in this thread.  Great chance to look up, give a go on Spotify, and chase vinyl if impressive!
