soundfan
Boneshaker: Thinking Out Loud Paal Nilssen-Love: percussion and drums Mars Williams: reeds Kent Kessler: bass An album I recently purchased, and keep coming back to. Williams is the lesser known entity of the trio for me, but he has played with Gustafsson, Vandermark and Joe McPhee, so I’m not questioning his pedigree. Some fine free blowing, with Nilssen- Love and Kessler being a mighty rhythm section in support. And they never lose their way. soundfan
Received this in the mail this morning. 3 cd discs of complete gigs at the North Sea, Ljubljana, and Oslo jazz festivals in 2016. Trio on disc one, added sax players on disc 2 and 3. Superb improvised acoustic jazz. This month a 3 LP version will be available as well.

t_mike
This is an audiophile release on the enja lable. Recorded in analogue live to two track tape, the resulting SQ is outstanding. Music played are Gershwin standards nicely rearranged, with some of the improvised sections reaching into the realms of free jazz. Nice music, nicely played by great musicians.
