soundfan
I came across Irreversible Entanglements mid last year on bandcamp....put it on my wishlist after a listen, and promptly forgot all about it. Last night I found and played it on Tidal, and have since ordered a vinyl version. It features the spoken word output of MC, poet and sound artist Moor Mother (aka Camae Ayewa). At work at the minute but am playing a few tracks via Youtube. Brilliant musicians and superbly recorded. The GREAT Bill Evans. Peace piece in particular. Sounds really interesting, huge respect for Pat Metheny. Since ecm released a mid 70's recording of Keith Jarrett two years ago I wonder how many gems they stil have yet to release. I'm going past Readings tomorrow so I'll try to buy it, oh Garbarek is on the Jarrett album I mentioned, can't remember the title. I may have to take a punt on the Bill Evans as well.
