Amp for rear soundstage

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I'm considering this amp to power the rear speakers in my HT via Audioengine wireless connectors from the pre-outs of my main AVR.

Any opinions on it's quality? I can find little online about it. It will be powering a pair of Usher S520s and an Usher S525 (rear) centre in a 6.1 setup.

Alternatively, any recommendations on a mid-fi 3 channel amp to do the job? I'm considering this:

Thanks!

Jason

going to end up a bit of a hotchpotch of amps around, plus the oddity of using an avr as a power amp, which will introduce own compromises.

your better off sticking with a multichannel power amp, e.g. this rotel 8ch amp which is amazingly with one day to go sitting on $149 !

its conservatively rated at 40wpc but can assure your thats more honestly rated and better watts than the av receivers you linked to with their over inflated specs.

Yep, good points, Al.

I saw that Rotel - but I am SO far away from Kew and don't just know how I could manage to get it here seeing as though it's pick-up only...

jason, usually in those cases you contact the buyer and ask instead of you picking up is it ok if a courier does ? no different to the seller, someone comes to door picks up and goes :) worth an ask, have done the same with even over seas item where some one has said pick up only. as long as you organise the pick up via a freight company they usually won't mind :)

as far as couriers go try e-go
