The Tebaldi/Bergonzi Madame Butterfly conducted by Serafin.

A 2 cd Decca set I purchased many years ago. I see there are a number of rereleases available. I have not listened to this for quite some time and will happily admit that it put tears in my eyes. Tebaldi in wonderful form.

Wonderful.

Little known Irish composer Ina Boyle, I have certainly not known of her before, so apparently she was a student of Ralph Vaughan Williams and this is world premiere recordings of her works.
This has Nadege Rochat on cello, so I thought I would give it a try.

Maurizio Pollini - Beethoven: Piano Sonatas 4, 9, 10 & 11

I really like Pollini's poise, which somehow comes without compromising energy/intensity when the work warrants.  He seems to be eroding my usual habit of leaping to Brendel as  top of mind habitual choice when listening to these works.

Handel’s Concerti Grossi op.6, 7-12. Good pace but still conventional interpretation. Refreshing.

Can’t believe I missed the first instalment of this release (1-6) from last year. Gotta have both now.
