Art Vandelay
Hi Art the drivers used in my loudspeakers are the the best sounding that I have tested ! there is no compromise here it's just that the nomex peerless drivers are the best I have heard and the Scan tweeter(it's really a Peerless HDS) is one of the two best tweeters I've heard. Regards Mike Lenehan Found a spec sheet. http://www.essentialaudio.com.au/pdf/peerless/Peerless_810921.pdf Yes it looks nice. Very good off axis too. The low mass dome, coupled with a fully vented motor system provides non-compressed sound reproduction over the entire frequency response. This combination allows the HDS tweeter to be used in systems with lower cross-over points than is recommended for most normal tweeters, making this product a powerful tool for any acoustic designer in the process of tuning a system. The HDS tweeter is ideal for use in applications including home entertainment, studio monitors, and general hi-fi systems.
davewantsmoore
Sorry Dave , it's the 830875s , size , used by Lenehans ML2 we think Curious.JeffL Nah.... the ML2 uses the peerless exclusive 6.5" (with phaseplug). The HDS woofer (with truncated frame) used in this speaker... I thought was the same one as the ML1.... but like you say... (and on closer inspection) ... it's the next size up (6.5")
davewantsmoore
Try it in waveguide Mike !? Fixes the power response, and makes +10dB from 2k - 8k ..... Sorcery! Be difficult to make a passive XO for though :-(

MVPjack
Is this crossover for a Lenehan speaker? which one? surely not the ML1? Then compare these Ken & tell me what you think...Rob
Guest Muon
@@MVPjack No, not the ML-1, is for the ML-2 I think, or ML-3. Mind you, the crossover in the ML-1 has big inductors also, just not in an external enclosure. Edited May 12, 2015 by ortofun
ljmac
It's for the ML2 Reference Limited - I guess these are Rob181's, which are very similar to my pair (mine were the first built with external crossovers).
