The most expensive coffee I've ever had

Recommended Posts

In Ballarat for a birthday and was introduced to L'Espreso by my girl. Great Coffee and spent some time and trawling through the rack there. Can't remember the last time I dropped a bag of money on discs but I couldn't help myself. An absolute gem.

Seems an interesting place to relax and listen to music, if you're in Ballarat.

Not just coffee by the looks of it, a bar and restaurant too.  http://www.ballarat.com/lespresso.htm

It also has its own CD shop within the business:

A list of some music they're into here: http://www.ballarat.com/blkswcds.htm

In their own words "There are no top 40 or TV specials here. It's jazz, blues and the most interesting contemporary music available."

Hmmm....if every restaurant, bar or cafe had CD shop operating within the premises, I can see it now, "honey how 'bout we go out for meal tonight?...."

Well she was eating while I was finding music! Great jazz, blues, soul and country selections, comfortably spent a few hundred dollars without blinking. Great vibe she said the food was great!

I've got vague recollections of going in there quite some years before '94,so they've been in business for a long time. Bar stools were placed along the wall where the cds were.- on the right as you walked in.By the looks of that picture they've beefed up their stock somewhat. Long may they survive.
