Post some pics thread...

Recommended Posts

Some of you would know I got a new ubeaut kit last Christmas after quite the hiatus.....it hasn't been used much......I'm so out of practice. But we launched our facebook and instagram pages for our new business a week or two back and the Mrs is at me for content. Its been a good excuse to put down the tools and try to take some photos.

I'm in awe of a lot of the bird photography I see in this thread, its a new thing for me....I'm really bummed the focus on this is slightly off...never mind, its a start

So that's how you get those green superhero eyes. No editing to the green or eye for that matter.

Nothing creates a superhero like a bottle of radioactive toxic green sludge

A morning drive up to Maleny Gardens.

Is it worth the admission cost? I wanted to go there the other week but the gardens + birds would have been over $30.

G'day Geoff

In hindsight....no. $33 each for adults for access to gardens and aviary is a bit much.

Jaaranda trees are blooming around my corner of the world at the moment, but it's hard to find one that isn't obstructed in some way by buildings, etc. I had to drive for over an hour to find this tree on a hill at Roadvale, just north of Boonah:

Nikon D750 camera + Tamron 70-200 lens @ 125mm, f/8, ISO 100, 1/50 sec.

This was taken late afternoon, and I'm not fond of the long shadow cast by a nearby tree, and I might head back early one morning to see if it looks any better.
