Remembering 23 years ago, when we visited Turkey.
These ancient Roman cisterns are deep below the old section of Istanbul (formerly Constantinople).

Good spotting and nice capture. They have changed the name on the mainland to Chiloglottis curviclavia

Also some call them Autumn Bird-orchid, and others Autumn Wasp-orchid

It gets so confusing for me these day with the number of changes.  :(

I agree.

We also saw Eriochilus cuculata and Pterostylis parviflora today, all small orchids.

P. parviflora has a number of different sub types around Australia, the Queensland ones look just that little bit different but still has the same name?

My wife and I stay with the names listed in "The Orchids of Tasmania" book, apart from the Genoplesium group, now called Corunastylis.

The Ft Worth Water Gardens.
Designed by Philip Johnson.
To smooth out the fast blowing sunset clouds and show the water movement, I elected to use a slow 90 second exposure.

A Freshwater Crocodile in the creek, 70 metres from my room at the Timber Creek Hotel. I'm loving the 3 month's I am up here working. Kicking myself for not bringing a tripod so I can have a crack at astrophotography.

Some more from Bright. A couple from this morning walking to and along the Ovens and some from a lunchtime amble at Sycamore Walk just off Baker's Gully Road. The 2 this morning were taken with the Olympus E-M1II, while the others were with the iPhoneXR. The iPhone photos in comparison seem to have an accentuated sharpness to them that looks fine on the small screen but are a bit unpleasant on a large one. Pretty good for a phone I suppose.
