Blood_Red_Bird
Great album, CD even looks like a record, but it is not available on vinyl. I've got a few of his albums on vinyl but this one was apparently never released as a record. Bummer  No dud track albums? How about a couple in a row: Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St by The Rolling Stones (add in Beggar's Banquet and Let it Bleed for 4 in a row). Deep Purple: Machinehead Fleet Foxes: Helplessness Blues DS It was released on vinyl Ted Hawkins The Next Hundred Years DCG-24627 Took me years to track mine down...Good Luck
mello yello
It might've been done before but what albums do you reckon have one great track after another? As they say "all killer no filler"..... We're talking stock issue albums, not promos or comps here. two that spring to mind are jesus and mary chain automatic and darklands

Krispy Audio
Just finished another 'lap' of Evermore's fantastic album Dreams. soundfan
Are you folk serious? Some questionable albums mentioned, and even allowing for the fact that we all have different tastes, can everyone honestly say that the albums they have listed are dud free? I could list my favourite dozen or so albums, but if forced to critically go over them all and discard filler tracks from each.........I reckon my list wouldn't be that big. Maybe my interpretation of a perfect album differs to most? Food for thought perhaps? Edited November 3, 2012 by soundfan

hotel 6
Cold Chisel - Circus Animals. In fact the three albums from East to 20th Century could all be played back to back and I would not skip a track. I would have also said Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town but I skip Adam Raised A Cain every time!

Personal taste aside, I doubt that many apply a high level of critical scrutiny to their choices. There are very very few flawless albums imo. likwidsh0k
Agreed too. I often and inevitably find one song sticks in my craw, but I'd say this album is pretty close, maybe not that musical or diverse being 10 tracks of angry rap rock, and has it share of weaker tracks, but none I consider filler or dud, and it was a debut too.. rage against the machine - rage against the machine Edited January 27, 2013 by likwidsh0k

Al Leece
This is a reasonable point, although the beauty of an album is not how absolutely fantastic each track is but how well the different standards of tracks sit together. You can pick a Greatest Hits album from any given artist and not have a great album at the end of it. In any given album - or any sort of project, audio or otherwise - there are parts not as pleasing / well done / "good" as others; the way the whole fits together, though, that is what great things are made of. Agreed. These threads tend to be filled with lists of ppls faves. Personal taste aside, I doubt that many apply a high level of critical scrutiny to their choices. Luc
I reckon this thread should have some sub-headings like 'No dud track albums' age demographic 15-21', then 21-30 then 30-40 and there'd be no need for the next age brackets as we've already filled the 40 to 70 old buggers demographic well and truly. David.M
Wish You Were Here, not only no dud tracks but I can't imagine ever not listening to this album in it's entirety, even on digital with the convenience of a remote. I reckon this thread should have some sub-headings like 'No dud track albums' age demographic 15-21', then 21-30 then 30-40 and there'd be no need for the next age brackets as we've already filled the 40 to 70 old buggers demographic well and truly. Might be that there aren't any albums of recent times that qualify (or very few at least), with digital they are often so much longer and I think there is more music out there from people less talented compared to previous eras. Luc
Hmm, dunno about that Dave, the kids I know who like their music have introduced me to some good stuff but it's all subjective isn't it in the end just because we old buggers like an album from 30-40 years ago and we say it's great certainly doesn't make it great in the eyes of a young'un that's for sure. I tried recently with DSOTM and they left in droves and whose going to blame them, especially when I had to borrow a copy of it because i'm not a fan of it but I told them that most people over 50 will rave on and on and on about this album, you guys give it a listen and see what you think. I laughed when one kid said "That's just like Dad's 'Spiritualized' albums but not as good"... seriously, that's really funny.
