Michael Parin
It's only the O rings that need to settle in, so the rule of thumb is that the larger one with 3 O rings will take approx. 66 % longer than the mono ring unit 1
audiofeline
I was in the Green Big-B yesterday (for something else) and checked out the chrome+o-ring door stops. They were nicely made and look good, the bottom was a plastic rubber, so less likely to scratch. I might go back and buy one to use as a door stop (I've already put dynamat inside some of my component boxes).

Would it be beneficial to do some "o-ring rolling"?
Michael Parin
I have already changed the O rings on mine to Theraband Gold and the soundstage has tightened up considerably...

Jehuty
Great findings. Anyone could suggest the ones made from copper? That would be better I reckon.

You seem to have missed this one https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-10-3-x-10-3-x-4-5cm-flat-door-stop_p3962494 1 kilo weight and half the price - you can get two for less than the price of one. Lots of weight and space-saving, too. A pair of them would stop the Sangean WFT-3D from sliding backwards every time I press a button.
Dropbear67
These are amazing.. Completely eliminated my jitter.
Silver Audiophile
Nice simple solution guys. Anything to help dampen the resonance. I tried different options, ended finding a combination of methods worked best, basalt slabs, mecado stainless steel, Nordost Sort Kones, and steel weights. I also used two 2.5kg disc gym weights over each of the external crossovers boxes, to enhanced the effects of basalt slabs and mecados (not pictured). The Stainless Mecados work to dissipate the micro vibrations as heat (sphere points down into elliptical cup). Nordost Sort Kones a similar idea (but double sided per device). Honeycomb lava basalt, with porous holes to sponge up the resonance. Below, my army of resonance helpers. I found each layer of resonance control, reduces system background noise, improves and tighten bass, enhances mid-range detail and spatial separation. https://www.bocchtech.com/bocchinoaudio/mecado.html Edited May 13, 2021 by Silver Audiophile
Silver Audiophile
Always finding new places to improve resonance control. Home 4K Projector included! Better colours, sharper images. Since these pictures were taken, I've squeezed more mecados between the La Scala and basalt plate (not picture below). Shelve height limits the use of Nordort Sort Kones. I've tried placing thin heavy gym weight discs over the top of the La Scala (with Basalt and a set of mecados underneath). The improvement were modest compared to the final configuration- From bottom: Mecados, Basalt, mecados, Aqua La Scala DAC. Main take home message is to never stop trying different combos.
buddyev
Only problem I can see with having so many layers of resonance controlling bits and pieces is the burn-in time.

Silver Audiophile
I'm still amazing at the difference small tweaks makes. Those basalt slabs (20kg each) came from my local stone and paver shop, whom kindly offered a whole pile of them for free once I explained what I wanted them for 1
buddyev
Very pleased to hear you got those slabs for nix. If you’d bought them from bocctech you’d be paying US $289 - price gouging on an eye-watering scale.

Was more worried about adding to the heat build up if a “magical” weight was placed on it. But truly loving how it sounds
sabloke
Don't have room for the tall ones unfortunately but this other model is almost as heavy while being more stable due to larger footprint. The jitter in my NVMe internal drive is gone and the Soloist frequency range just dipped into negative territory. What an amazing mod! lemarquis
Picked up the last 2. All they had were the 'Large flat' but they look ideal. I'm calling these NOS as the package was a tad dusty Another advantage of adding weight is it now allows for some more conventional pads to be used underneath the DAC. (Whites squares of course!). 2

It's gone international (Darko @New Sensations must have bought his in Berlin), I got some at the "big orange shed" (Hornbach) in Switzerland. They even have wood grain versions for those with vintage HiFi components! I've now installed one to pin down my roaming Hagerman Bugle and another to dampen the steel case of my EAR clone phono, which to be honest used to ring like a West Indian steel drum when tapped. Actually off to Ikea this morning to buy another APTITLIG audiophile chopping block 5
