At the moment I've got a Cambridge AXR100 paired with Dynaudio M30 speakers, with a Concept Clearaudio turntable & Phonomena 2+

Happy with the sound at higher volume but just feels like its lacking in the low to mid, where a lot of my listening is.

It feels like the speakers are capable of taking on more power, so would it be worth taking on something like a CXA80/81 or should I look at something else?  I'd like to keep it around the ~2k mark.

I think you are on the right track with an amp. The M30s have a lot more to give and you have a very respectable TT

Try demo some new amps :) probably higher than Cambridge CXA. Very achievable with that budget and less
