Further information:

These might be the most indestructible headphone on the planet (don't worry, I didn't test that on these). They're a great closed headphone for not too much money and have a fairly neutral tuning. They've stuck in my collection despite being not used often because I find them lovable in an ugly kind of way and I have had a hard time letting them go despite the fact they've been sitting in their box with the exception of a few specific tests of pads and comparisons with other headphones.

Included in the sale are:

  • The headphones
  • Stock leather pads
  • Stock velour pads*
  • 2 cables (as supplied from the factory)
  • Original packaging

*Mysteriously missing the foam insert from the day I received them from German Maestro - they sound fine without and it would be easily replaced if you felt to

German Maestro came out of the ashes of MB Quart. The owners of Quart sold out to Chinese interests and manufacturing moved offshore. The unemployed workers from Quart started GM with all the knowledge and tech.

Their speakers were pretty much the same, I had both early Quart and GM. In fact the crossovers for the GM were branded Quart. I think GM was poorly marketed in Aus so just didn't take off.
