Hi everyone,

My name is Ben, I've been into hifi since inheriting a Marantz integrated stereo amp & fm receiver.  The crackle upon turning the knobs was as loud or louder than the music, but the build quality and warmth must have left a lasting impression.

Lately listening has taken a back seat (and kids have taken over the back seat), but I feel like I could get into vinyl and planar headphones at some point.

Welcome, Ben.

A clean of the pots and switches of the marantz might set it right, contact cleaner, apply and work the switch or control back and forth a number of times.

Something like this product

Thanks, that amp is long gone now, but I'll keep this in mind for next time my pots start crackling!
