This is a very high quality and versatile dac / headphone amp from Canada that does not come up for sale 2nd hand very frequently.  This is the Mark I model.  I am the second owner and purchased from SNA a couple of years ago and it is still in the same excellent condition.  It has served me very well and it has seen off several other very good dacs, but now it is time to try something else .... and exactly what I’m still unsure !

While is this is a based on a ESS 9028PRO chip but it certainly doesn’t sound like other similar sabre dacs. It has quite an organic nature to it which is why it has lasted that long in my rig.   There is a volume control so it can run run direct to power amp or active speakers if you wish via either single ended or balanced outputs.   Also it has a very competent headphone output.  It is also in small form factor which was a real winner for me as I'm no fan of large empty black boxes no matter how funky or stylish.

The slight downside is that the USB input works with Windows or Mac drivers, but it is not Linux compatible.  I got around this when using a SOtM streamer with the  Matrix Audio X-Spdif 2 to great effect, and frankly the SQ was much was much better than going direct via USB in my experience when I could try I eventually tried it out with a different source. Also the Matrix didn't require another power supply and worked direct from the USB.   The owners manual and the most up to date drivers will be supplied to the purchaser.

Depending upon who and what you believe in the measurement wars on ASR these unit either have extremely good numbers and stats, or not.  Personally, I've no interest in buying into those debates and ***-for-tat slanderous assaults.  I've always very happy with the unit and agree with many of the commentators that this is a very non-fatiguing high-performing dac.

I’m selling this without a linear PSU as people have their individual  preferences. I will be listing a compatible Geisler Kraftwerk 12v 4amp in a separate advert.

It is very hard to estimate a realistic price for this unit given the low turnover, and I have listed what I think it is fair price to sell in the AU/NZ market given the original RRP of USD $3499, even in today’s rapidly evolving dac world.   Low ballers will be politely ignored (or worse).  PM with any questions.

These units also appear to be still listed for sale at a hefty price (which I suspect is an advert that hasn't been pulled )

Item Condition: Vgc Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Cronulla State: NSW Payment Method: Cash eft paypal Reason for selling: Too many speakers You are looking at a really nice pair of Phillips 9710 fullrange alnico drivers
these are among the top end of vintage speakers, if you’ve never heard a pair then you’re in for a treat, they need a good solid box, you can use a vented enclosure, but many have used open baffles and even horn enclosures
they are in fantastic condition, one cone is a different colour from the other
this was not unusual, it is not from sunlight!as these have lived behind fabric their whole life until recently
I am loathe to let these go! But I need to raise some funds, if they don’t sell I will build them up in some nice cabs and flog em, I have a nice pair of boxes to suit these, front hole not cut yet as I have many fullrange drivers that will suit the boxes.

Item Condition: Used Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition. Suburb or Town: Briar Hill State: VIC Payment Method: Paypal, Cash on Pickup EFT Reason for selling: Changing to floor standers Further information: I've had this sub woofer for a number of years, and it's been ideal for natural deep bass reproduction. I listen to a lot of pipe organ music and the REL enables the deep pedal pipes to be felt ! Also, bass drum " whacks " in orchestral music are quite realistic too. Personally. I believe RELs are THE top notch sub woofer. I've thought about keeping it, but have decided to seek out suitable full range floor standers, or go to high class headphones.
I recently had it checked out by the distributor ( Synergy Audio ) and it's in perfect working order.
Due to size and weight, this speaker really isn't suitable for shipping, unless the purchaser is willing to pay for packing and courier delivery from Pack & Send.
They do a terrific job, but are expensive !

The Integrated Amplifier which adopted the current feedback magnification circuit as the power amplifier part.
The current feedback type magnification circuit which returns an output signal in the form of current is adopted as a magnification circuit.
A principle lowers the impedance of the input terminal by the side of a return, detects current, and carries out I-V conversion of the current with a transformer impedance amplifier, and it has the structure of making an output signal, and since the impedance of a return input portion is very low, it is difficult to generate phase rotation.
Thereby, in order that there may almost be no necessity for phase compensation, it excelled in dynamic characteristics, such as a standup, and the natural energy response is realized.
Moreover, high power has been obtained by it being parallel for an output element and adopting the power transistor for audios excellent in many characteristics, such as a frequency response, a current gain linearity, and switching, as it.
The large-sized power transformer of the large power capacity of about 500 VA(s) and the mass filter condenser of 22,000 micro Fx2 are carried in the power-source part.
