Use a Pro-ject Speedbox S on a MMF2.2LE?

Recommended Posts

I've read other people have done it but I'm not so sure. Can I use my Pro-ject Speedbox S on my Music Hall MMF2.2LE? The thing that is stopping me is the back of the speedbox say's  output 16V and the input for the Music Hall say's 15V. So strange, I thought Music Hall used Pro-ject's motors.

Answered my own question. No. Tried it and the motor has a hum. Music Hall charges between $500 and $1000 for their Cruise Control 2.0 unit. Think I'll give it a miss..

Trying to get rid of a hum when I turn the amp up. I think it comes from the motor, it gets less when I move the cart away from the centre of the deck ie. right out to the rhs.
